Amuse Partners with Swedish Youth Organization Fryshuset to Support Sustainable Careers for Young Independent Artists
Amuse and the Swedish nonprofit youth organization Fryshuset are entering a new partnership aimed at supporting young artists in their musical development and providing education on how to build a sustainable independent career.
The joint initiative aims to create opportunities for young people to develop their music careers on their own terms and invest in the next generation of artists by offering guidance on the music industry landscape and how to build long-term, sustainable careers as independent artists. As part of the partnership, Amuse will serve as Fryshuset’s official distribution partner and provide financial support.
Music distribution company Amuse has emerged as a strong alternative to traditional record labels, with the goal of providing artists of all sizes – from DIY talents to global stars – the tools to build their careers on their own terms. Through Amuse, anyone can distribute their music to streaming platforms, manage their catalog, and access their royalty income. The company also offers a flexible range of tailored artist services that support successful independent artists and teams worldwide, such as Yot Club, Emei, The Walters, and 80purppp.
Fryshuset Musik is a platform for young musicians of all levels, spanning all genres and focused on creating opportunities for growth through music. It offers programs for everyone – whether you're an aspiring artist pursuing a music career or simply curious to explore. The initiative provides professional rehearsal spaces, recording studios, courses in production and songwriting, artistic development, and runs projects with industry partners to empower young people. Special focus is placed on underrepresented groups in music and creative spaces, including girls, non-binary individuals, and marginalized youth.
“Through this collaboration with Fryshuset, we want to offer more than just tools for navigating the modern music industry – we want to inspire young people to believe in their potential and recognize their value as creators. There’s no single path to success in music, and we want to emphasize that being independent doesn’t mean doing everything alone. You can build a sustainable career on your own terms, with control over your music and rights, and we hope to support Fryshuset’s artists with guidance along the way,” says Sofia Green, Director of Communications at Amuse.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Amuse as a partner to Fryshuset Musik. Their extensive international experience and independent focus make them a valuable resource for the young people we support. Together, we can provide knowledge, inspiration, and tangible tools to help them take control of their creative output and future in the music industry,” says Per Hartwig, Head of Operations at Fryshuset Musik.
