The Vinyl Cut - Amuse & elasticStage Invites Upcoming UK Artists to Have Their Music Pressed to Vinyl for Free

BBC Radio 1’s Jodie Bryant, renowned music curator Frankie Statham and Amuse’s Senior A&R, Lazee Kulego will select 100 of the UK’s most promising talent to attend ‘The Vinyl Cut’ in London to receive a free vinyl of their music - and announce their winner.

24th August 2026, London: Independent music distributor and artist services company, Amuse, has today opened submissions for independent UK artists to enter a competition which will see their music pressed onto vinyl for free.

Traditionally, pressing music onto vinyl has been inaccessible for smaller, upcoming artists, as most vinyl production companies require large upfront costs and substantial minimum orders, amounting to high cost and high risk that most artists cannot afford. This prices smaller artists out of a huge opportunity to generate more revenue through vinyl, which continues to grow in popularity, as vinyl sales increased for an 18th consecutive year in 2025.

In order to bring this opportunity to emerging artists, Amuse has partnered with the world’s first on-demand vinyl production service, elasticStage, which allows artists to press vinyl with no minimum orders or upfront costs, making vinyl accessible to smaller independent artists for the first time.

To celebrate the partnership, Amuse are inviting upcoming, independent artists to submit their music to The Vinyl Cut, a one-night only Bring Your Own Vinyl competition. The top 100 entries will have their music pressed onto vinyl for free, which can be collected on the night. The evening will also offer artists the chance to connect with fellow musicians, industry professionals and music fans in one of East London's most celebrated listening spaces.

Additionally, the top 25 entries will have their music played on the night, with one overall winner receiving a recording session at a leading London studio, including credits for future recording, production or mixing, alongside a free pro subscription to Amuse's distribution service and additional promotional support across Amuse and partner channels.

Entries will be judged by top music industry execs, including BBC Radio 1’s Jodie Bryant, renowned music curator Frankie Statham and Amuse’s Senior A&R, Lazee Kulego who boasts a long career as a recording artist, DJ and MC.

Entry submissions will be open until 7th September. For full submission details, please follow Amuse - The Vinyl Cut.
