New Constellations are a Portland, Oregon-based dream pop and synthwave duo — childhood friends Harlee Case and Josh Smith, who first recorded together as teenagers before spending years pursuing music separately. They reunited in 2015 and released their debut single "Hot Blooded" on New Year's Day 2021, which went on to rack up over 120 million Spotify streams. Since then they've gone from DIY rooms and hometown shows to selling out a headline North American tour, all before dropping a debut album. Their sound sits somewhere between shimmering 80s-flavored synth-pop and R&B, with moodier, more experimental edges — anchored by Smith's hooky production and Case's expressive, full-throated vocals. Their debut album It Comes in Waves was released in May 2026.
