Julie is an American rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 2019. The trio consists of Keyan Pourzand (vocals, guitar), Alex Brady (aka Alexandria Elizabeth; vocals, bass), and Dillon Lee (drums). The band gained early support with self-released singles like "Flutter" in 2020. They released their debut EP, "Pushing Daisies," in 2021, and quickly became recognized for their distinctive sound, which blends elements of shoegaze, noise pop, slacker rock, and grunge. Often cited for drawing influences from bands like Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine, Julie creates a dynamic, often raw sound with intricate song structures and layered guitars. Known for their energetic live performances and a mysterious, art-collective aesthetic, Julie signed with Atlantic Records. In 2024, they announced their highly anticipated debut full-length album, "My Anti-Aircraft Friend," which was released on September 13th, 2024. They have been featured by publications like NME and Teen Vogue, and have toured with artists like Alex G and Faye Webster, cementing their place at the forefront of the new wave of shoegaze and alternative rock.
