Whether you’re a seasoned South By punter or heading to Austin for the very first time, the SXSW event schedule can be overwhelming to say the least. So, we decided to wrap up the must-do music events, talks, parties and performances at this year’s festival. You’re welcome!

Amuse x Treble: The Treble Village

Amuse has teamed up with Treble to be a part of The Treble Village at SXSW, housing over 30 artists and activating some epic parties and events throughout the week. Taking place at the famed Empire Garage, Treble will bring its iconic “Treble Tuesdays” event to Austin, hosting their Beat Battle comp with judges Supah Mario (Drake, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert), Anthony Kilhoffer (Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Rick Ross), and Kashaka (A$AP Ferg, Topaz Jones).

The second event in The Treble Village is a RSVP-only mixer hosted by Splice, Treble and Amuse on Wednesday March 13. Berlin-based DJ Melis Yildrim and Jacob Velcoff will be holding down the 1s and 2s and drinks are complimentary, of course.

Kicking on at SXSW all week? Don’t miss the Treble House Party presented by Amuse at the Tangerine House, with performances by Baby Yors, Kojaque, Thomas, Moe Moks, Bayli, Lex Allen, and more on Thursday March 14.

Techno Nights with Chinese Producer SHAO

Chinese techno producer Shao Yanpeng aka SHAO is taking his iconic show from Beijing to Austin as part of SXSW, hitting Elysium this Monday March 11 and Plush on Friday March 15. SHAO is the first Chinese artist to be signed to Berlin’s Tresor Records and has recently released his new EP Doppler Shift Pt. 1.

Music Cities: The Impact of Music & Nightlife On Cities

Join Amsterdam’s Night Mayor, Mirik Milan, and a panel of heavyweight music industry leaders as they discuss sustainable nightlife economies and how cities can work together with governments, performers and fan communities to create sustainable, innovative and safe nightlife economies around the world. The talk is free and you can register here.

Nile Rodgers Keynote Talk

Multiple Grammy-winning composer, producer, and guitarist, Nile Rodgers will host a keynote talk at SXSW 2019, discussing the intimate process of songwriting. Joined by Merck Mercuriadis, CEO of Hipgnosis Songs, Rodgers will also talk to the enduring power of the song and the deep, hidden meaning of songwriting. This session is open to SXSW badge holders only.

The Future of Music and Cannabis

As the legalization of cannabis continues across Europe and the US, so do the celebrity and music artist endorsement deals. This panel will dive into some of the most famous partnerships that have already been created (with reps from some of the biggest brands in cannabis including Willie’s Reserve, Rebelution, 2 Chainz, The Game and Dirty Heads), and talk about best practices, obstacles, and the future of these two colliding worlds. This session is open to SXSW badge holders only so get in quick.

Run The Trap Showcase

One of the leading collectives in electronic dance, Run The Trap are bringing a unique showcase to SXSW in collaboration with Magic Music and Elysian Records. With a global roster of acts joining the activation on Wednesday March 13 at Edwin’s (700 E. 6th St.) including PLS&TY (USA), ReauBeau (NL), Holly (PT), BeauDamian (NL), Roman Jewels (USA) and Tera Kórà (NL), this showcase by our Dutch friends is not to be missed.
