Amuse Raises 15m

Onwards and Upwards!

amuse raises $15.5M in a Series A financing round.

Amuse, Amuse

April 17th last year (2017) was a fairly cold day in Sweden. It didn’t stop Adel and his team from uploading Adel’s first-ever release to amuse. The track was called Skina, a dreamy rap track in Swedish about the struggle young people in suburbs around the world face. The most memorable line in the track is ”En dag ska vi alla Skina” which translates to ”One day we’ll all shine”.

To Adel this was his introduction to the world and to our team it was a great opportunity to test out our model. We reached out to Adel a short time after the release and proposed a deal that would allow him to reach the full potential of himself and the track.

A year later the track has been certified platinum in Sweden, his follow-up track ”Spring” has been certified gold and the new remix of ”Skina” has reached the Swedish top 50 and is on track to become a big summer hit.

It is on the back of this story and several others that we have been able to close our Series A funding round, led by Lakestar and Raine. We couldn’t be more excited to have such a seasoned team of investors and media/music experts join our team as we look to build our presence in new markets including the US.

Growing our international footprint will mean that amuse label representatives will be closer to the talent that we want to work with. We will continue to offer new features and functionalities in the app that will dramatically improve the control of your music rights and your ability to manage your career.

We want to thank everyone who has confided in us so far and look forward to an exciting time ahead.
