What?
Fast Forward is an automatic data-calculated advance that allows you to have up to six months of royalties upfront based on artists’ streams; historical and future predicted streams.
Who?
Eligibility is based on how much streaming data Fast Forward has to work with. Your music needs to be distributed by amuse and have some consistent fan activity. With that said, Fast Forward is available to a much wider range of artists than a traditional advance would be!
If you're an artist collaborator receiving royalty splits through amuse, you can also be eligible for a Fast Forward - even if you're not distributing the music yourself.
How?
Thanks to the streaming data we pick up from the distribution service, Fast Forward can analyze more than 65 billion data points to calculate future royalties. Each offer is custom calculated for your individual music catalog.
The service is seamlessly integrated into the amuse apps, meaning you'll never have to fill out an application form or be interviewed by a financial institute. Fast Forward automatically calculates advances beforehand. Eligible artists can see and easily withdraw their offered advance with just a tap, and the funds will be transferred in only a few days.
What about my rights?
When you accept a Fast Forward offer, your distribution rights are temporarily locked until your advance and fee is recovered. Once you are fully recouped, you'll collect your royalties just as usual again, owning 100% of your rights.

Do I have to accept the offer?
No, if you're eligible for an Early Access offer, you'll be notified in the app. You can choose whether you want to accept it - it's totally up to you!
Do I have to pay the money back?
Once we receive the royalties, they'll automatically recoup against your advance. You'll be able to track this in your Wallet.
Why do you charge a fee?
Enabling you to withdraw royalties before we've received them from stores means Amuse takes on some risk. Charging a small fee covers that risk. It's calculated slightly differently each time, and is unique to each offer. We take a few things into account, including the amount you're owed, and the time period over which we've collected those royalties.
Does this affect my rights?
Nope, you still own 100% of your rights!

What's the difference between Fast Forward and a traditional advance?
A Fast Forward is an advance - but without the traditional downsides to it, such as signing away your master rights and long-term record deals. That means artists are free to fund and pursue their artistic dreams.
It’s fully automatic and calculated beforehand, meaning you’ll never have to fill out an application form or be interviewed by a financial institution.
Few emerging artists have the opportunity of getting approached with an advance. Since Fast Forward is data-driven, it is able to create offers for a wide range of artists - from as low as 50 bucks to really big $.
Do I owe amuse money?
No, it's more like you owe yourself money. You pay back your advance with your own upcoming royalties. We won’t charge artists for any money they don’t make back, and the artist is not liable on a personal level.
How are the fees calculated?
Each Fast Forward offer includes a fee that is charged upon your advance. It's as personalized as the offer itself and dependent on the individual data of each artist and the actual time period, meaning the number varies. It considers factors such as stability ,risk and richness of data. The fee is always stated clearly in the offer.
What happens after I accept the offer?
If you choose to accept a Fast Forward offer, the app will take you through the terms & conditions of the advance. After you've approved them, the money will be in your registered account within 5 business days.
If you have brought your catalog over to amuse, make sure to reach out to your previous distributor to take down the releases from their service.
How do I recoup?
The royalties you earn after taking the offer are used to recoup the advance. The advances are usually calculated to be recouped within 3 to 6 months, and you can easily track your recoupment in the app.
