Amuse Unveils Notable Product Updates, Including Auto-Save Links and Trolley-Powered Business Payouts for Professional Plan

Announcing new premium features and partnerships for self-releasing artists and teams, including Trolley business payouts, Easy Song cover licensing and amra publishing royalty management

Music industry challenger Amuse today announces a big update to their self-service digital music distribution, introducing a new lineup of flexible subscription plans designed to meet the evolving needs of independent artists and teams worldwide. New highlights include an updated, intuitive user experience, Auto-Save links enabling fans and listeners to subscribe and automatically save all future releases from an artist, fan email collection and hi-res audio distribution, as well as a series of premium integrations to enable business payouts, cover song licensing and publishing revenue collection.

In recent years, Amuse has cemented its position as a strong alternative to traditional record labels, offering a smart and flexible model that empowers artists to stay independent at every stage of their careers. Hundreds of thousands of artists and teams globally distribute their music through Amuse today, while over 400 artists have tailored support from the company’s Artist & Label Services division, including successful indie acts such as Yot Club, Emei, The Walters, Deki Alem, Djezja and 80purppp.

Amuse presents three new self-service distribution plans for artists and teams at every stage of their career – Artist, Artist Plus, and Professional – replacing its previous offering. The brand-new Professional plan offers premium distribution features and promotional support for multiple artist profiles, along with business-friendly tools, such as priority support and integrated business payouts through a new partnership with Trolley, facilitating financial workflows for independent businesses.

“More artists are choosing to build their own teams instead of following the traditional industry path. With a digital and democratized industry, it’s easier than ever to take control and stay independent. The DIY community is diverse, spanning emerging talent to established teams behind some of today’s biggest artists. Amuse was founded on the belief that self-releasing artists can break through on their own terms. These new offerings strengthen that mission, helping artists not only go independent but stay independent.” says Paul Griffiths, Head of Commercial Development.

“We’re proud to provide the embedded payout infrastructure for Amuse’s Professional plan, helping them pay artist teams faster, more efficiently, and with greater financial autonomy,” emphasized Vincent Guérin, VP Marketing, Trolley. “Together, through strong payouts, we’re strengthening independence and supporting growth across today’s music industry.”

The update offers a range of new key features to help artists at all stages of their career cut through the noise and maximize their reach across platforms.

New features include:

  • Trolley-powered business account payouts – Helps artist teams set up royalty payouts to business accounts, facilitating bookkeeping, tax operations, compliance and other financial workflows. Supported by PayoutOps platform Trolley and directly integrated into the Amuse apps. (Rolling out to Professional members in September, starting in Sweden, UK and US).

  • amra publishing royalty collection – A new partner integration with amra, the global digital royalty collection society, enables Amuse self-releasing artists to collect digital publishing royalties across more than 200 territories. Rolling out to self-service members during the fall of 2025. (Amuse’s Artist & Label Services division also offers publishing collection, through Kobalt, as of 2024).

  • Cover song licensing - A new partner integration with Easy Song simplifies the process of obtaining licenses for distributing cover songs. Users can purchase licenses with a one-time payment without leaving the Amuse platform. License fees will be automatically deducted from download sales and paid out to rights holders, making it easier than ever to manage cover songs. Rolling out to all Amuse self-service members in September.

  • Auto-Save Links – Lets artists create pre-save links that allow listeners and fans to subscribe to all of the artist profile’s future releases, by saving them automatically to their Spotify libraries.

  • Fan base management – Lets artists collect fan email addresses through pre-save links. Available to Artist Plus & Professional.

  • Hi-Res audio – Enables hi-res deliveries to DSPs that support it. Hi-res is defined as audio with a bit depth and/or sample rate that exceeds CD audio quality (16-bit / 44.1 kHz). Available to Artist Plus & Professional.

  • Artwork generator – Enables artists to generate cover art for their release in the release builder via the Web app. Available to Artist Plus and Professional.

  • Store Sync – Enables users to automatically have their release(s) delivered to new DSPs that are added to Amuse’s offering. Included in Artist Plus and Professional, but also available to all members on-demand.

  • Collaborator Splits – anyone on an Artist Plus or Professional plan will be able to invite collaborators – such as feature artists, producers, managers – to Amuse for free-of-charge royalty splits and payouts.

Existing Amuse artists can switch to the new plans to access the latest features.
