All Amuse users can now set up Royalty Splits - even if you’re not on Pro! Just hit the "Add Splits" button the next time you release a track or log into your account on our web app to add splits to releases that are already live. If you’re not a Pro user, a fee of 15% will be charged off of your share of a split. Split it up!
Add split receivers when creating a new release, or go to our web app to edit splits on a release that is already live.
The split receivers will get their invite as soon as the new release has been approved by us and sent to the streaming services. Note that they need to accept their invite to activate the split!
The streaming services usually pay out royalties 2-3 months after the streams happen, so a January stream will show up in your Amuse wallet around March.
Since you didn’t have to collect the whole payout yourself and spend time accounting and wiring money to your collaborators, you now have some extra time to put into your music. Or just chill.

In its first month, the track makes $10 USD. That means $5 USD goes David's way and $5 USD to Daniela.
David and Daniela's song makes $10 in one month.
Since Daniela is a Pro user, that means she keeps all of her $5.
Daniela, a Pro user, get $5.
David is not a Pro user, therefore a fee of 15% is charged from his $5 USD share of the split, equalling $0.75. David keep 85% of his share, $4.25.
David, not a Pro user, get $4.25.
Now say that the track enjoyed some early success and made $1000 USD in its first month. Daniela would keep all of her $500 USD. A 15% fee for non-pro user would, in this case, equal $75 USD. If you’re expecting a lot of streams, upgrading to Amuse Pro for 59.99/year instead would be wise. Pro also comes with perks like team accounts, fast lane releases, quicker support and distribution to Instagram and TikTok!
There’s no set limit, but keep in mind that the combined splits need to equal 100%. You can specify your splits up to two decimals. If three collaborators want to share royalties equally between themselves, the splits would need to be set as 33.3%, 33.3% and 33.4% to equal 100%.
No. Our team reviews your release first to make sure it follows our and the streaming services’ guidelines. As soon as your release has been approved, split invites are sent out through email or text message. You can always track the status of your release in our apps!
Royalty Splits is one of our most popular features and we’re excited to bring it to all of our users! Since developing smooth tools like this demands time and money from us as a company, there is a 15% fee for users who are not on Pro. That means that if you make $10 USD in split royalties one month, you’ll keep $8.50 USD. Pro users keep 100% of their split. Check our examples above for more info!
Yes, as soon as your release is live on stores you can edit splits by logging into your account at artist.amuse.io and hitting the “My Music” tab.
Royalties are reported monthly, and splits are paid out according to how they were divided at the end of each month. For example: if a split is set as 50% and 50% on March 3 and then changed (and accepted) to 75% and 25% on March 20, all March royalties will be paid out according to latest update, in this case 75% and 25%.
Yes. An invite is valid for 14 days, then it expires and a new one needs to be sent out. If a split is not accepted, the full percentage then goes back to the original account that uploaded the track. If the track is not released yet, you need to wait until it’s live to send out a new invite.
